"Concert for Coats"

 

The performance will include a wide variety of holiday favorites and we encourage each audience member to donate a gently used coat, or winter gear, to help further the mission of Broad Street Ministry. Other winter gear that is in high demand this coming winter season are shoes, gloves, hats (basic beanie-style hats and stretch gloves are the most requested), backpacks and small duffle bags.

Philadelphia Wind Symphony will present a program of Firsts and Favorites on the evening of June 22.  The concert’s first half will feature the thrilling music of Lord of the Rings by Johann De Meij and the recently composed Love Among the Ruins by James Syler.  Mr. Syler’s hauntingly beautiful work showcases viola soloist Geraldine Rice.  The program’s second half will feature the ensemble in patriotic and Broadway favorites.
