AUDITION INFORMATION

GENERAL INFORMATION
The Philadelphia Wind Symphony is an all-volunteer ensemble comprising musicians who are active performers and professionals in many different fields. The ensemble performs four to six concerts each season and will typically rehearse three or four times in a two-week period to prepare for each performance.
While consistent attendance is important to sustain our high quality of performance, we remain flexible around our core members' personal schedules and engage substitute musicians as needed throughout the season. Beyond current openings for permanent personnel, we also encourage any interested woodwind, brass and percussion instrumentalists to audition for our substitute pool.
2025-26 ENSEMBLE OPENINGS

Any musicians interested in a permanent role with PWS should submit a Substitute Application at this time. SUBSTITUTE MUSICIAN APPLICATION

This application (below) requires that you please share a brief resume and videos of your playing. Videos should include examples of contrasting technical and lyrical styles.
