GENERAL INFORMATION
The Philadelphia Wind Symphony is an all-volunteer ensemble comprising of musicians who are active performers and professionals in many different fields. The ensemble performs four to six concerts each season and will rehearse three times in a two week period to prepare for the performance.
We remain flexible around our core member's personal schedules and engage substitute musicians as needed throughout the season. Beyond the openings we have for the current season, we encourage any woodwind, brass and percussion instrumentalist interested in performing with us to audition for our substitute pool.
2023-24 ENSEMBLE OPENINGS
Permanent membership auditions are currently on hold, as the organization completes its search for a new Music Director. In the interim, open seats will be filled on a temporary basis, at the discretion of the General Manager.
